OUR WOOD

At Rovalux, we craft our bathroom vanity units using two main types of engineered wood.

Birch plywood with real wood veneer and lacquered high-density MDFs.

Each material is chosen for its unique qualities. Plywood with real wood veneer offers strength, natural texture, and moisture resistance.
Lacquered MDF provides a smooth, water-resistant finish in a variety of colors perfect for sleek, modern designs.
Both ensure durability and refined aesthetics for daily use.

BRICH PLYWOOD CORE

At Rovalux, we use premium birch plywood, also known as polywood or Betula Wood, made from multiple layers of birch veneers laminated together in a cross-grain pattern.

This structure offers superior strength, excellent load-bearing capacity, and high resistance to warping or bending even in humid environments.

To further enhance durability and aesthetics, we apply a real wood veneer to the surface under high pressure. This veneer brings the natural texture, warmth, and beauty of solid wood while adding an extra layer of moisture resistance, making it ideal for use in bathroom furniture.

Our birch polywood construction ensures the perfect balance of strength, stability, and elegance, making it the best-adapted material for long-lasting, high-quality vanity units.

WOOD VANEERED PANELS

Natural wood veneer comes from woods such as Oak, Cherry, Walnut, and more. It ensures a strong, durable bond between the veneer and the core.

The real wood veneer provides the authentic beauty of wood texture, with rich grain patterns and warm natural tones.

This construction method enhances the panel’s resistance to peeling, cracking, and moisture. It delivers the visual appeal of solid wood while maintaining the structural stability of birch polywood.

This approach maximizes the value of each log and significantly reduces waste, making it a sustainable and responsible choice for modern bathroom furniture.

High-Density Lacquered

At Rovalux, we believe every material should serve both beauty and purpose. For some of our refined collections, we use high-density MDF wood, expertly engineered to meet the demands of humid bathroom environments.

MDF is a high-performance wood product made by compressing hardwood fibers under intense heat and pressure, using eco-friendly resins. Our high-density version takes it a step further—enhancing strength, stability, and resistance to swelling or warping. This makes it an ideal choice for bathroom furniture, where consistent moisture and temperature changes are the norm.

Italian Lacquer
Durability & Sensual

Once the MDF core is prepared, it’s coated with a premium Italian lacquer, specifically developed for humid environments like bathrooms.
This water-resistant paint is applied in multiple layers using advanced humidity-controlled techniques to ensure long-lasting protection and visual harmony.

Our lacquered finishes provide elegant, soft-touch texture visibly refined and pleasant to the touch. Moisture resistance, designed to resist steam and water droplets.

Each piece is the result of precision craftsmanship and high-quality coating technology, giving your bathroom not only aesthetic softness but also structural resilience.

FAQ ABOUT ROVALUX WOOD

Material & Quality

Aesthetics & Customization

Sustainability

What types of wood does Rovalux use for its vanities?

We use two premium materials: birch plywood with real wood veneer (used in models like Aurora) and high-density lacquered MDF (used in Serenia). Both are moisture-resistant and carefully selected for bathroom performance.

What is birch plywood (polywood), and why is it used?

Birch plywood is made of cross-laminated birch layers for high strength and stability. It resists warping in humidity and is ideal for heavy daily use in bathrooms.

Is lacquered MDF strong enough for bathroom furniture?

Yes. Our high-density MDF is engineered for moisture resistance and coated with premium lacquer. It offers a smooth, modern finish with long-lasting performance.

How does Rovalux ensure durability in wood products?

We sellect carefully the strongest and most adapted wood for bathrooms. We use high-pressure lamination, water-resistant treatments, and real wood veneer finishes to maximize resistance to humidity, cracks, and peeling.

Will the wood be damaged by water or daily bathroom humidity?

Our materials are chosen specifically for bathroom conditions — both birch plywood and lacquered MDF are engineered to perform in humid environments. We built to last long.

Can I choose between different wood finishes or colors?

Yes. Rovalux offers a curated range of natural wood veneers (like Oak or Walnut) and lacquer colors to suit minimalist, elegant, or bold bathroom styles.

What is the difference between solid wood and real wood veneer?

Real wood veneer is a thin layer of natural wood applied to a strong plywood core. It gives the authentic look and feel of solid wood while improving moisture resistance and sustainability.

Are wood textures and grains visible in your finishes?

Absolutely. Our veneered plywood surfaces highlight the natural grain of the wood, offering warmth and visual richness.

Can I customize the wood vanity to fit my space or preferences?

Yes. At Rovalux, we offer tailor-made dimensions, finishes, and configurations — from single vanities to double units with shelves or drawers.

Will the wood color fade over time?

No. Our finishes are UV-stable and sealed to protect against light exposure and color fading, ensuring long-term visual consistency.

Is the wood used by Rovalux eco-friendly?

Yes. We use FSC®-certified wood from responsible sources and prioritize low-waste production practices.

What does FSC® certified wood mean?

It means the wood is sourced from sustainably managed forests, ensuring environmental protection and ethical forestry practices.

Is your wood furniture recyclable or repairable?

Our wood components are durable and built for longevity. Veneers can be refinished, and parts can be repaired or replaced if needed — extending the product life.

Does Rovalux use imitation or plastic-coated wood?

Never. We only use real wood veneer or lacquered finishes — no plastic laminates or low-grade coatings.

How can I be sure I’m getting genuine, high-quality wood?

Each Rovalux vanity is crafted in Europe with traceable materials and inspected for quality. We’re transparent about what we use — no shortcuts.
