WHAT CORIAN® IS MADE FROM?

Corian® is a high-performance solid surface material made from a precise blend of natural minerals and premium acrylic resin 

This combination results in a non-porous, homogenous surface that is smooth, durable, and repairable. The mixture is cast into sheets or custom molds and cured under controlled heat and pressure to achieve its final form. 

Once hardened, it can be cut, thermoformed, and joined seamlessly, allowing for sleek, joint-free installations ideal for countertops, integrated sinks, and bathroom furniture.

What is Corian® made of, and how is it different from ceramic or marble?

A blend of natural minerals and acrylic resin, Corian® offers a non-porous, joint-free, customizable surface that’s warmer and more hygienic than stone or ceramic.

Is Corian® resistant to scratches, stains, and water?

Yes. It's engineered to resist everyday bathroom wear and is highly stain- and moisture-resistant.

Does Corian® turn yellow or fade over time?

No. Authentic Corian® is color-stable, even in humid, light-filled spaces.

Can Corian® crack or chip easily?

It's solid and durable. Minor damage can be professionally repaired without visible seams.

Is Corian® a sustainable or eco-friendly choice?

Yes. Corian® is non-toxic, repairable, and manufactured with reduced waste under ISO 14001-certified processes.

What sink shapes and configurations are possible with Corian®?

Integrated or on countretop, round, rectangular, and custom-positioned basins are all possible.

Can I customize the countertop layout — like tap hole placement or extra depth?

Absolutely. Corian® is thermoformable, allowing full design freedom.


What colors does Corian® come in? Can I match it to my wood or wall color?

Rovalux offers a curated range of Corian® tones, whites, neutrals, and soft textures, that pair beautifully with Natural wood and lacquered finishes.

Is Corian® always matte, or can it be glossy or polished?

It comes in a soft matte by default but can be polished for a smoother sheen if requested.

Is Corian® hygienic and safe for bathroom use?

Extremely. Its non-porous surface doesn’t harbor mold, mildew, or bacteria

How do I clean Corian® daily?

A soft cloth and mild cleaner (or white vinegar for limescale) are all you need.

What if my Corian® surface gets scratched or stained? Can it be fixed?

Yes,  most surface issues can be easily sanded or repaired without visible marks.

Does Corian® require special maintenance or sealing like stone or wood?

No sealing needed. It’s maintenance-light and very forgiving over time.

How do I verify that my product is genuine Corian®?

At Rovalux, we use certified Corian® only.
